The idea isn't new and Adobe is demonstrating why it works. The concept of using podcasts as a tool to introduce potential new customers to a product or product line is well established, but there's not a lot of case studiable material out there yet.
Another use of corporate podcasting is to make loyal customers our of a current client base. Sales is a tough job and there's a fine line between 'hawking' and 'informing'. Adobe has been producing an instructional videocast about their product line for some time now.
Featuring Dave Cross, Matt Kloskowski and best-selling author Scott Kelby, Photoshop TV is a weekly program that gives viewers tutorials, tips, secrets and new techniques for making the most of Adobe Photoshop software.
The show has just hit 2 million downloads in a month. Whoa...lots of Photoshoppers out there.
