I wish I could get more on this (click image for readable size), but there's something weird going on with Blogger. I caught this via a feed, but when I tried to click through to read the whole entry, I was confronted with an authorization dialogue. Not sure if this is a private Blogger blog with an exposed feed or something else.I tried to follow up with this on the BMI Music site, but although I got into the podcaster licensing section, I didn't see any place to fill out an online application.
I'm not sure what the $295 a year licensing fee covers, but if it's the right to play BMI music in a podcast, that seems like a pretty decent deal to me. It's not like they're asking $10,000 for the licence.
As mentioned, though, I'm not sure what this covers because I can't find any more info on it.
Anyone know where BMI hides their podcast licensing fees?
