A discussion about corporate and business podcasting with tips and guidelines

Graeme Sprigge has an article over on Ezine Articles detailing three steps involved in promoting a podcast.

While the language is kind of campy, he does have three solid points:

1. Write an accurate description of your show
2. Submit your show to all the directories
3. Manage the growth

I like number 1 the best. Too many people either don't really know where they're going with their podcasts, or they write something like "Tech and Chat" which is so vague it's not worth the bytes killed to type it.

Submitting your show to all the directories is important. It's free and generates backlinks to your blog. I have to admit that I'm quite behind in that area, but I still think it's a good idea.

Managing the growth - well, when that happens I'll manage it. We're not quite kicking 1,000 listeners per show which I don't really call 'growth' although it's a nice number to look at.
