Podcast Empire claims to be the largest podcast directory in Canada. As a Canadian I have no problem believing that because...well...we don't really have another Canadian podcast directory, do we?
I took a run through the site and it's pretty large, but nothing that would make Podcast Pickle or Podcast Alley nervous. I count about 180 podcasts on Podcast Empire and a search for 'Canadian' on Podcast Pickle and Podcast Alley turns up a little over 50 and 113 hits respectively.
Hardly scientific, but it brings to light that when considering your show's description for search engines and podcast directories, putting your geographic location in there somewhere might not be a bad idea. I've personally been interviewed twice by Canadian publications that went looking specifically for Canadian podcasters.
