Promoting Your Podcast
I stumbled across some new ideas today for promoting a podcast in the Libsyn forums (ahh..you wondered where I got my stuff from, didn't you?). The old "join every directory you can" tip is in there - which I think it a waste of time - but there are other good ones.

My two faves are:
  • listen to other podcasts, and if they play promos by others, offer them a promo: Good tip - not all podcasters play promos for other shows.
  • join My Space: This can be a chore, but worth it if you're doing something in the music space. On a related note, I have the 'podmaster' account on My Space. Anyone want it?
There are other good ideas in the forum thread.
