PodShowCreator has implemented password protection into their podcast hosting service. It'll cost you $4 a month, but the service will ensure that only those listeners who know the password will be able to listen to the show or page that's been protected.
I'm not sure, but I think this is a show-wide feature rather than an episode feature. I think that makes sense because if you're interested in protecting a show, you're likely interested in protecting the entire show and not just individual episodes.
So - who can use this?
- corporate podcasts that contain content only meant for insiders (although I think a thorough evaluation of Podshow's implementation of this feature would be in order before posting corporate secrets).
- pay podcasts: only give the password out to paying listeners.
- anyone else who wants to keep their audience limited for whatever reason
Anyone else offering this feature? Just curious how desireable it is.

Gabcast offers this feature (and others) with a Premium channel subscription ($12/mo).
We've had this feature for months.
Cheers
