Well, good ideas rarely remain a secret and our very own Canadian Gabcast has obviously sparked some ideas in Germany. Enter Cellcast.de (not be confused with the UK Cellcast.com)
Hundertelf, a small Internet company in Cologne, Germany, has launched a new mobile podcasting service, called Cellcast, that allows registered users to call from their cell phones, record a message or song and make it available on the Web, the company’s managing director, Wolfgang Fischer, said Friday.
You'll have to speak German to use the site, so I'm not sure what the revenue model is. Regardless, I've said it before in relation to Gabcast and I'll say it again here - I like the idea. Enabling mobilecasting simply by picking up a cell phone and speaking is a great idea.
