I imagine that most of you pay attention to the blogosphere and have at least heard of Kyle MacDonald. If you need a prompter, how does the phrase "One Red Paperclip" grab you? In one year, Kyle traded up from a single red paperclip to a house in central Canada.
He's been all over the media, but if I walked down the street and asked 100 people if they had heard of him, I would get 99 no's. Well, Kelly (my partner in crime on our JaK Attack! podcast) dropped him an email to see if he was interested in being interviewed for the show. "No sweat", said Kyle, and now he'll be on an upcoming episode.
I guess the moral of the story is that if you don't ask, you'll never know.
