A discussion about corporate and business podcasting with tips and guidelines

I recently penned an entry about whether podcasting was a waste of time when compared to reading. Peter Davis feels it is because he can skim many RSS feeds in the time it takes him to listen to one podcast. Sure, but comparing blogs and podcasts is like comparing…well…radio and newspaper. They can both deliver the same content, but they do so in very different ways.

Scoble sums it up nicely in a recent rebuttal to Davis:

...why am I joining a podcasting company if Peter is right? Cause I'd love Peter to explain to me how he reads RSS when he's driving. Or, as someone told me recently, while walking in the Scottish Highlands.

Or, try exercising while reading a Tablet PC. I've tried, it doesn't work for me.

Walking around town with my SmartPhone out and reading it gets me branded a freak.

True, walking around starting at your screen does get you branded as a freak. Been there.

I don' t know - is this a wasted post? Isn't it obvious how blogs and podcasts are different?
