Skype 100-Person Conference Call

skypecasts_logoIf you’re going to record a telephone conversation for a podcast (or any other reason, I guess), there are two main contenders to do so: Skype and Gizmo. Sure there are hardware solutions out there, but that’s not half as cool as using a VoIP client to do the dirty work.

I use Gizmo because I feel it’s superior to Skype in a number of ways. One of those ways has been the number of people you can have on a Gizmo conference call far exceed(ed) the 10 that you could have on a Skype conference call.

No more. Skype just their Skypecast feature which allows 100–people to participate in a conference call. Sadly, they’ve chosen the name Skypecast which is already associated with pre-recorded Skype calls being used in podcasts, but hey. Whatever.
